MGC provides due diligence services used to evaluate and validate loan servicing portfolios, specific data discrepancies and operational problem areas. Loan information collection methods are designed so data can be queried, organized and extracted for specific reporting, servicing and review purposes. Sampling techniques are used to optimize timely quality assurance reviews for loan servicing, legal compliance, quality control, accounting and computer systems. MGC reviews legal documents including chain of title issues and conducts data element verifications. Timely reporting of findings and issues are administered to the client and reports are customized to meet the needs of a particular client.
MGC is proactive in its policy for comprehensive auditing and implementation of effective quality control (QC) systems to provide best-practice solutions and to mitigate risks for itself and its clients. The QC systems combine an internal audit process with a series of periodic, scheduled and unscheduled “third party” reviews. The reviews focus on areas with the greatest risk of fraud, loss or waste to clients with subsequent emphasis on regulatory compliance and sound servicing practices. The plan provides for direct feedback to management on the quality of operations. It also establishes procedures for effective corrective measures when deficiencies are identified.
A methodology for updating the plan as required by changes in legislative guidance, regulations, state laws, and other federal requirements has been established to ensure that servicing personnel follow sound mortgage banking practices and accounting principles that are compliant with policies and procedures and relevant policy memoranda.
